Foley is the spot for high-flying adventure and family fun at the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival. Enjoy the entertainment, arts and crafts displays and more at the festival site daily. Balloon flights, glows and tethered rides (weather permitting) add to the fun at dawn and dusk.

The Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place the first weekend in May every year (dates TBA each year). Weather and wind permitting, balloons are visible at dusk and dawn (only); balloons are not visible during the day.

The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival (#GCHABF) kicks off with a Balloon Glow at the Tanger Outlet on Thursday evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m.; weather permitting, six balloons set up in the parking lots and inflate to provide a beautiful glow! On Friday afternoon, at the Foley Soccer Complex (festival location), half of the balloons fly and half will set up for a balloon glow at dusk (between 7:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m. again, weather permitting). Then on Saturday morning at dawn (6:00 a.m.), the competition flights will take place. The festival grounds will be closed during this time, but guests are welcome to watch from a distance.
