Description: | From 2017 Labor Day Fair Website: The Labor Day Fair will be held on Monday, September 4th from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM EST. FREE Admission and Parking.
Live Entertainment:
- 10:00 AM: Dixieland Dulcimers
- 11:30 AM: Blackberry Possum Band (https://www.********.***/blackberrypossum/)
- 1:30 PM: East Wind Blue Grass (https://www.********.***/eastwindbluegrass/)
- Cottonton Baptist Praise Band will perform upstairs during the Fair
Chili Cook Off will start at 11:30 AM and Pie Contest will be at 2:00 PM for cash prizes. For entry information please contact Jo Ann Laney at (***) ***-****.
What will you eat?
Old Russell County Courthouse Commission will prepare barbecue this year as their fundraiser to be used to maintain the Courthouse. There will be other food vendors to enjoy as well with a variety of fair foods.
Russell County Emergency Management will have their Annual Preparedness day and bring fire trucks, Smokehouse Fire Safety, police cars and more. A helicoptor will land at 11:00 AM and you are welcome to go look at all the emergency/safety vehicles.
There will be Kids Amusements such as Shooting Games, Laser Tag, Pony Rides and inflatables for the kids.
Browse through the Fossils Exhibit, Arts & Crafts, Antique Cars and buy some produce! There are a variety of vendors that you will enjoy to look at and shop. Christmas will right around the corner...
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy!
