From Rock The South Website:

Outdoor festivals celebrate many things. Some memorialize heroes, some honor historic achievements, and some are even dedicated to things as simple as food, music and life. What if I told you "Rock the South" represents all of these things?

On April 27, 2011 the south was "rocked" by an historic tornado outbreak that took many precious lives and caused catastrophic damage to many of the things we hold near and dear. This day taught us a lot about ourselves. It helped us all realize what was most important. It also brought out the best in all of us. "Rock the South" is a festival celebrating our recovery, our commitment to one another, and our Southern way of life.

On the one-year anniversary of this historic day, over 15,000 people celebrated the first annual "Rock the South" in Cullman, Alabama with country stars Dierks Bentley and Kellie Pickler. Rock the South 2013 saw explosive growth with The Band Perry, Hank Williams, Jr. and over 35,000 in attendance over two days and $50,000 to local charities.

In 2014, the momentum continued with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Big Town, Charlie Daniels Band, Billy Currington, Colt Ford and many others as they came to Cullman and played to over 38,000 country and southern rock music lovers. We were able to donate over $50,000 back to local charities in 2014 because of our loyal fans!

In 2015, the lineup explodes with Brantley Gilbert, Tyler Farr, Corey Smith, Travis Tritt, DeeJay Silver, and so many more to be announced. 2015 is going to be bigger and better!
