Saturday, April 25, 2015, will be our Forth annual Feast of Saint Mark Italian Food Festival in Birmingham, Alabama. For years, many people in the community have hoped for such a "festa" or feast celebrating Italian culture in traditional Italian style. After the success of the inaugural event in 2012, there was even greater anticipation of the 2013 festival. It was an event enjoyed by over 3,000 Italian loving family members! 2014 was no exception either, another sellout event enjoyed by 3,000 guests. Again in 2015, we will have an event that you will not want to miss and that your family and friends will continue to look forward to year after year. The FOSM2015 feast will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015. It will coincide, for the first time since inception with the actual feast day for Saint Mark which is every April 25th.

The festival will at 3:00 p.m. with an earlier 3:00 p.m. Mass in the church followed by an evening of great food, entertainment, youth activities, and more. Some of you may remember traditional Italian feats from your youth, other cities where you lived, or stories of grandparents and relatives. There are close to 400 of these festivals across the United States with the oldest celebrating its 140th year. Many Birmingham residents have Italian roots and remember when the culture was vibrant and active. This feast brings these rich cultural experiences back to the present day.

April is a perfect time of year with average temperatures between 75-80 degrees. The feast is held on the beautiful church and grounds of Saint Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church on Hwy. 119, just east of Hwy. 280. This is the Brook Highland neighborhood adjacent to Greystone.
