| Description: | From 5th annual Peanut Boil Festival Website: The Crenshaw County Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you to participate in our Fifth Annual Peanut Boil Festival!
This years' festival will be Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Our festival will include music, childrens activities, beauty pageant, 5K run, and car show. We are excited to, once again, provide this venue for exhibiting your talents and delicious food.
Held in conjunction with The Shriners' World's Largest Peanut Boil participants in the festival will have a great chance to purchase some of the over 60,000 pounds of peanuts which are sold each Labor Day weekend as a part of the Shriner's annual peanut boil - recognized as the largest peanut boil in the world for over 30 years.
The festival will be held adjacent to the peanut boil at the intersection of US Hwy 10 and 331 in Luverne.
