Formerly known as Rural Fun Day, a late summer event, the Pepper Jelly Festival, is now held the last Saturday in April a much more comfortable, mid-spring, environment!

Held on the grounds of the Alabama Rural Heritage Center, the festival has been renamed in recognition of the delectable and colorful food product, made by hand, in Mama Nems Kitchen.

Historically, the Pepper Jelly Festival has attracted vendors, exhibits, musicians, various tournaments, etc. from Marengo County and throughout the southeast region. The Pepper Jelly Festival provides an excellent venue for our residents and visitors to enjoy arts, crafts, food, entertainment, participative activities and take part in many other aspects of Southern life in a fun-filled event.
