| Description: | Location: Battleship Memorial Park on the Causeway Proceeds from the Scoot will benefit The Ransom Cafe (www.ransomcafe.com)Out and back certified 5K course (AL08020JD) runs from Battleship Park to the Causeway and back to the Battleship. The fun run will take place within Battleship Park. Post race activities will take place in the Park.If you don't want to run, but still want to participate, you can select the Stay-In-Bed option. You support the Cafe, get a shirt, and stay-in-bed. Additional Information : Shirts: Shirts guaranteed to the first 500 registrants.Pasta Dinner: Pasta dinner at the Ransom Cafe from 5 - 7 PM on Friday, February 3. Tickets cost only $5 each.Awards Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall, masters, grandmasters, senior grandmasters, and walker (walkers can not run during any portion of the race). Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Ribbons will be presented to fun run finishers who are 14 and under.Special Award: Top male and female award for most tropical costumePost-Race Party: Food and beverages will be provided after the race.
