Description: Price: $5 adults, $3 children 6-12, free to younger children. All scheduled events are included in the price of admission.
Admiral David Farragut sailed into Mobile Bay and into history with his famous command—“Damn the torpedoes. Full speed ahead.” Relive the two week siege of Fort Morgan as interpreters conduct artillery drills and firing demonstrations. Fort Morgans artillery will once again belch smoke and fire across the waters of Mobile Bay in commemoration of this historic event. Artillery fire and Infantry sharpshooting will occur throughout both days along with presentations on the battle and its significance in the history of the Civil War by site historians. Special memorial ceremony to honor Union and Confederate dead will be conducted at 9AM on Sunday.
